TurboTax is the largest tax filing software company on the planet. Even though they have a very large user base, their visual style was stale and lacked consistency throughout their numerous products and applications.
I was given the task of completely redesigning their visual identity system from the ground up. The objective was to bring their application to life with the use of user-friendly visuals. This included 100's of icons for the entire tax filling application process, illustrations for the website, and glyphs for their mobile app. All of the assets were created based on a systematic approach that was outlined in a visual guidelines document.
The TurboTax design system maintains visual voice of the brand is consistent throughout the entire experience. This system has 3 tiers of illustrations: UI Glyphs for the app and nav bar, Illustrated Iconography throughout the tax refund process, and chapter Illustrations to represent the header scene of each section.
